Specifications

For the past fifteen years, these Chrome Steel sets were manufactured for exclusive use. We are now supplying them to the greater mining industry.

All products are chrome steel, vacuum hardened, to prolong product usage and limit sample contamination, thereby allowing you to obtain the most homogenous sub-sample mix possible.
When you treat metal with the vacuum hardening process, it comes out harder and resists corrosion better. It also has more ductility, elasticity, tensile strength, and shear strength.

It's environmentally friendly: Vacuum metal hardening is also one of the most environmentally friendly methods, not using any flammable gases or any health hazards, as you are not adding any elements, merely removing air, it doesn't result in pollution, and it's quite safe and stable compared to some methods for treating metal. It's also very energy efficient.

Consumable Replacement Subscription

What is a Consuamble Replacement Subscription?

Consumables are products that consumers use recurrently, i.e., items whose integrity "deteriorates" or are discarded. Replacemnet subscription is similiar to a lay-bye option. Colenson have included this form of payment to assist with your cashflow, and our lead time for manufacturers and delivery. Start paying monthly and once the payment term is completed the product will be delivered to you within 4 working days.

What are the advantages of opting for a replacement subscription>?

This form of purchase is interest free and there can be no increase in the price. The price you are given at purchase is the price that you pay and no more. There is no cost for the storing of goods either.

What do I need to do?

Choose a period that you estimate it will take for the integrity of your chrome steel consumables, (pulverising mill bowl, lid, disc,and seal) to have sufficiently deteriorated, where the cost of not repalacing them outweighs the actual cost of replacement. This is determined by the cost benefit, whereby the time taken to pulverise a sample has exceeded the initial standard time excessively, for example +/- 3min per sample is now +/-5min per sample. This wear period could be anywhere from 4, 6 or 8 months depending on your volume. Select your option.

Depending on demand, products are manufactured and held in-house, ready for delivery within 4 working days of payment.

Manufacturing time is 3-5 weeks from date of order, should there be no in-house stock.

Packaging and Transport costs are for your own account, and can be calculated once an order is placed, unless it is End of Year Stock offer, and within the current 100km of OR Tambo International as above.
